Creating a video montage involves stitching a few clips together and adding a soundtrack, but many editing programs complicate this procedure with overcrowded menus and complex features. If you wish to create your montages without spending too much time looking for the necessary options, Wondershare Video Editor can meet your demands. It is much easier to use than other similar applications and it comes with a good number of predefined effects.

Installing Wondershare Video Editor is not a complicated procedure. You just need to agree to the terms and conditions and hit an Install button. The software can be used on Windows XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8, as well as various Mac OS X versions.

It should not take long to get used to the interface's layout. You can import media files and browse through predefined effects, transitions, sounds and more, on separate tabs, located in the upper left area of the interface. To create a montage, you must drag and drop your imported media files over a timeline, in the lower region of the window. The available effects can be inserted the same way.

The software allows you to cut video and audio segments without any effort. You may also double click any inserted element to reveal a few editing options. You can adjust the colors, contrast and speed for individual video segments, change the parameters for each effect and more.

The assembled video can be previewed at any time, in the upper right area of the window. When you are done editing, you may click the Create button, located in the same area. Wondershare Video Editor allows you to export your video files in numerous formats, but you can also select a set of predefined configurations, for specific devices, like smart phones, tablets, gaming consoles and more. It is also possible to burn the video on a DVD or upload it to YouTube.
